And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Just bought one Saturday to replace the old one I've had since 2002. The old one still works but I wanted to spoil myself with the latest and greatest. My neighbor who doesn't have one will get the old one with a nice selection of accessories. Along with my Fein Multimaster oscillating tool, I can a do a lot of challenging tasks.
I've had a Dremel since the 90's and replaced the brushes 3 times. Last time the brushes went out I bought a Stanley and it's working fine. I do dental work on Saturdays 9am-12pm. Reasonable rates, cash only, no insurance. lol
Mine is over 55 years old. Early on I bought a speed control unit that plugs in line to it. Yeah, never use full speed; 30,000rpm is too much for most anything. I use it a lot for sharpening chainsaws.
A Dremel is a handy tool. I also like having an oscillating saw. Very handy also.
ReplyDeleteOne of the handiest tools I have! It can do jobs nothing else can.
ReplyDeleteDremel; recommended by 9-out-of-10 medical examiners including Dr. Quincy.

ReplyDeleteOne of the things I used to most are the cutting disks.

ReplyDeleteI've had a Dremel for (maybe) 30 years. I very rarely use it. However, I use my bench grinder at least once a week.
ReplyDeleteI have three thanks to my wife....
ReplyDeleteI got one I bought back in 1970. Has one speed....screaming loud. Now that I'm ancient, I'd probably never use most of the stuff in that kit.

DeleteGot a cordless one some time ago, fantastic tool
ReplyDeleteSpent a couple of days doing some detail work with semiprecious stone inlays after the lathe trimmed a turning block into a rough work of art.
ReplyDeleteCoupla months back with the cup brush, it salvaged a rusted orange "stainless" canteen cup.
Not many small tasks it won't do, if you think a bit.
