And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? I really used to feel for the Officer of the Deck when we were passing through the Strait of Malacca at night as he would dash from bridge wing to bridge wing trying not to run over any fishing boats. Pretty hairy stuff for a junior officer.

What a nightmare. I guarantee there's some cussing & fighting & more than a few crashes.
