And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Well..... has anybody tried this out? Generally, I would say it's not for me unless maybe I'm camping and need a shortcut to compensate for no kitchen available. The best pot meals start with browned meat and onions, then lots of low-slow cooking time. "Modified Food Starch, Maltodextrin, Yeast Extract" - aren't these all slightly different forms of MSG?
This seems to be just the sauce. No stew ingrediants. Instead get a jar of Beef Base and make your own sauce. Cooking 'Bases' should be next to the soup at the Grocery. I use chicken base and beef base a lot for making gravy.
The Better-Than-Bouillon product is what I find is the best. It's a very viscous thick liquid (think peanut butter) in a jar in many different flavors: Beef, Chicken, Garlic, Vegetable, Turkey, Ham, Chili, etc. I add this to any pot meal, or to gravy as a flavor fortifier, and it's terrific.

ReplyDeletePan drippings and roux and you have gravy.
ReplyDeleteJust gravy and potatoes. They should be brought up on charges of false advertising.
