And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
history has showed me that people who use single shot guns like them rarely miss. my dad had a old Iver Johnson single that was great to take to ham shoots always ripped out the center of the 3by 5 card at 25 yards.
If that pretty gal doesn't tuck that rear pad into her shoulder pocket, that hammer might put a nasty gash on her pretty cheek. Many single shot stocks have too much drop and as a result have quite a lot of recoil. Cuidate senorita.
Like the first commenter, I had a single shot that always won at the turkey shoots. They actually gave the turkeys away, so when I got home,(city boy at the time) everybody on the street had a turkey. I just kept the best one or two, depending on the freezer room. Good times.

She is holding a 12 ga. Took me a minute to see it because of her.
ReplyDeleteYep. The gun that ACTUALLY won the west.
ReplyDeleteI would love the chance to show that young lady my "gun"!!!
ReplyDeleteMy Dad used a single shot 12 gauge to keep us fed in the ‘50’s.
ReplyDeleteThat's called a mono-trap gun
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid, I had a single shot 10 gauge Long Tom

ReplyDeleteTerrible bore condition. She should be ashamed.
ReplyDeleteI would say more like a 20 gauge! Possibly even a .410!

ReplyDeleteDad started us boys out on a single 20. For her that's all I would have.
ReplyDeleteBear Claw
My first thought too, was that it looks more like a 20 gauge. But she's still be eye candy sporting a Red Ryder.
