Mendocino County -- I think I know where this station is, it has always had high prices due to the location, but still...

  1. Just paid 4.88 here in downstate IL. Never even seen it that high before.

  2. Check this station out in a couple months. I'm bettin' the pumps will have to be reprogramed to display the $10+ prices.

    1. Nevermind "reprogramed". Gonna need hardware for the extra digit or to lose the traditional "9/10¢".

    2. Standby for a re-price to quarts...

  4. TGreen, The question of the hour: Are they stupid enough to pay for pumps with the extra hardware so that they can keep the extra 9/10¢?

  5. Back in the 70’s gas crunch, stationed couldn’t go over $.999, so they started selling at half gallon increments.

  6. Why $0.009 pricing: https://www.fox43.com/article/life/ask-evan/ask-evan-why-do-gas-prices-end-with-9-cents-per-gallon/521-f9ff6788-7542-4eff-abeb-34bb12ea4eb4

  7. Where's the sticker on the pump of Joe Biden* saying "I did that"

  8. back in the 70's in Southern California, the pump would hit $9.99, then go back to $0. Attendant had to check to Gallons to know wether to charge you $7.50 or $17.50.

  10. You dont know how lucky you are- still. Fuel here in Sydney ( for my Subaru Legacy) just hit equivalent of US$6.76 per litre.
And we dont have a Biden. A worldwide problem regardless.

  11. Wow! I thought it would be Big Sur. My visit there I got freezer seafood and shit from some hippies that were smoking pot about me smoking a cigar in the parking lot after a so-so seafood meal that destroyed a $50 bill back in 2013. I also paid more for fuel in my motorcycle than I have ever paid anywhere else.

    1. Big Sur hippies are, as a group, the worst of hypocrites I've ever met. Not just because of your meeting. They scare the land, elbow others out of the way, build their homes, then fiercely declare NIMBY. And thieves, hoo boy, most of what they got is stolen. It is so rampant that the Sherf hardly anymore investigates. Even when someone pulls out a gun in the act, the Sherf is slow to act.

Quite a few of them living as freebirds have pull in San Fran power.

But buying gas there, your bike must not have range.

    2. Sister owned a home in Big Sur for 20 years. Parking was on the opposite side of the river from the house. The 4x4 was parked on the house side as much as possible, until water depth got too much in winter. Thieves were all the time stealing gas from it, and sometimes damaged the tank/fuel system in the attempt.

I suggested she shoot them and float the bodies down to the ocean. She stated that they never saw them on the property. They were too kind-hearted. That river could go from 18 inches to 18 feet deep in an hour of rain. Had a suspension bridge to reach the house side, about 20 feet high from riverbed. All those redwoods made her nervous during a windstorm. She had the biggest one in Big Sur, and it dropped a branch one day. Damn thing was the size of a normal tree, and it buried itself in the driveway, after falling 200+ft. Needed a backhoe to extract it.

  12. $3.89 in most places off the expressways here in Houston, for a couple of days too. Shell had $4.10 near the airport, just off the expressway.

  13. Well, I guess I won't be traveling to Big Sandy for the machine gun shoot (larger than Knob Creek) or the military and gun show, both later this month.

  14. Paid 4.88 yesterday here in rural IL. Even under Obama, it never got close to this. FJB.

  15. Trump did clearly state that if Biden was elected, we'd be paying $7 per gallon.
