And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Wait a second. The vehicle with the big chunk of log looks like it is gasoline powered. But the vehicle that is pulling two sets of logs (with men sitting on top of them) looks like it is powered by steam. Is that correct?
That is a steam powered tractor. There’s one at the California Agricultural Museum near Woodland, CA. They were manufactured by a company called Best in San Leandro, CA, later to merge with Holt mfg in Stockton to create Caterpillar. I've looked at the one in the ag museum...it's huge!

I like their powered saw, real labor saver. I always said the if necessity is the mother of invention then laziness is the father of invention.
