And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
What's going on here is the diver enters the water to spear these big fish in open water. It's mano a mano and sometimes the diver doesn't win.
This photo shows but the one fish. But usually there is a school. And they are fast, powerful swimmers.
I knew a man who used to do this. He told tales of broken or lost spears, cut hands, bruised bodies and either come up for air or lose the fish. Part of the thrill is free diving - breath hold - to even the odds. It is sport.
