I need to find some remote property and build a hideaway like this on it.

  1. Simple shed roof, plenty of glass. Do it with cordwood construction and it will be fireproof, well insulated naturally, and will last a very long time. Plus, being cordwood construction, you can do a little at a time and show a little artistic flare.

    1. Good idea cordwood! A metal roof will help too.

  2. I know there is remote west of you out off 299, my sister used to live out that way. Remote that has a real road until you turn off it and head to your place, that's a good remote!

  3. Build it at home and then drop it wherever you want from a flatbed. It can be modular. Don't think in terms of just one drop.

  4. The dream is real. Got my eyes on 8 acres on a trout stream now. Gotta get out there and look at it as soon as our commie governor (I live in east coast California called Virginia) releases us to do what we do.

    2. I'm with Mr. PLQ...
"Essential" is a very subjective term in vernacular, anyway.
Wear some snake gaiters & go survey your future 8 & a mule.
