And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Cool tool indeed. I can understand the obvious uses, but how about the not-so-obvious ones? There are instruction manuals for Speed-Squares, but I could not find one for this tool.
I have one on the shelf behind me. Lets you make a straight line when marking a pipe for cutting. Never quite mastered the angles, though. I'm a well driller, not a fabricator.
The welders at a paper mill I worked for all had one. One geezer had several dozen hand made templates to match 90, or 45 degree cut outs for every combination of sizes up to about 20-inch pipe. He was also the best welder I ever met. His every weld was a perfect row of dimes effect weld. He never had a leaker and every detail he made was a perfect match. Working with him was like watching an artist at work.
