U.S. firefighters getting cheered while arriving in Australia

  1. Anyone know how the economics of something like this works? Who do the firefighters normally work for? Who fronted the travel money to get them to the other side of the world?

  2. Send them back. There is no racial diversity in this group! Wonder why THAT is.

  3. What kind of firefighters have beards? Hair will catch fire in temperatures that firefighters endure. Also, one cannot wear a breathing mask with a beard.

    1. Maybe they are off-season wild fire firefighters, I don't think they normally wear masks.

    2. They don't wear SCBA's in wildland situations. The most I ever wore was a bandanna. Also, if you are in a situation where your hair catches fire, it's probably too late for you.
