And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I wonder how many years worth of my social security checks it would take to by something like that. The only things that would make it prettier would be Damascus barrels, and yes Frank, double triggers. Yeah, I know it's too new to have Damascus, but that's my new obsession. I just bought an old, 1912 Ithaca Flues to restore. I'm in the process now of making the apparatus and have obtained the chemicals to rust blue the barrels and bring back the pattern on them. Now I just need to find a worthless old gun to practice on before I ruin the Ithaca.........
I can only imagine how steady a hand someone would need to do that.
