U.S. military officials/officers have told me that they have been able to track Soleimani for years. He became "careless" & "complacent" as his influence in Iraq grew. His actions indicate he felt the U.S. would never target him. twitter.com/LongWarJournal …
They have good intel on most of these guys. They'll be picking off as many as possible as quickly as possible before these vermin run and hide, like Saddam, in some grimy hole somewhere.
Reports of new late-night U.S. airstrikes north of Baghdad are starting to be confirmed. According to developing reports a convoy of two or three vehicles carrying Iran-back Shia Militia leaders was targeted near Taji in Northern Baghdad.
The strike is reported to have killed Qais Khazali, one of the people the US named as responsible for storming of US Embassy in Baghdad. Also Shibl al-Zaydi is now confirmed to have been killed. Shibl was the leader of Kata’ib al-Imam Ali or the Imam Ali Battalions.
Meanwhile, back at the airport....
JUST IN: Suleimani bag still on carousel 9 at Baghdad International Airport!
They had a good run, drinking, partying with friends, eating bacon secretly, buggering little boys and doing what jihadis do. Until it ended.
ReplyDeleteHas the traitorous scumbag, John "The Capitulator" Kerry offered to return the bag to his survivors in Iran yet?
ReplyDeleteJust as soon as he can pick through and sniff the undies.
DeleteThe ever noble keyboard warrior, scoffing at a man who was regularly on the front lines in Iraq against ISIS (another Washington backed extremist group, like Al Qaeda, mujahideen, etc.) and at the time a diplomatic mission in Baghdad. Soleimani was not careless nor cowering in a foxhole, but a military man who was often assessing the situation on the frontlines & boosting morale - something few good men have within them the ability to do.
