And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

While she kept a smile the whole time, the sincerity behind it left about half way through. It's still a smile, but it's one that was expected, and not freely given.
Not particularly a monarchist but Elizabeth has been part of my life since Dad drove me around in that old Hudson in Toronto during her visit when I was 4. I would love that vid to share with my readers actually. It is gorgeous.
Did you know Liz always wears bright colours because she knows the people want to SEE her so she does not want to disappear in a sea of dark attire.
