And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Someone's in big, big trouble, and it's not really her.
Whenever my kids put their feet up on the dash I'd remind them that if the airbag deployed their knees would be in their mouths. That phase didn't last long.
I have made catch and release stops, to point out to the passenger the dangers of that sort of thing. I have written drivers for letting their passengers dangle their legs out of the windows.
There's a lot of flexibility...
