And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? Short Sunderland taking off from the water, Egypt (1941/43)
I wish that they were still making those (for use as fishing condos). You could (but don't have to) take off the machine guns, bombs and depth charges and they'd still be perfect, if only we could figure out how to amortize the maintenance costs to make them affordable.
There are still plenty of US built sea-planes molding away at various airports and storage lots. The price to re-engine, refurbish, and get flight certified is too much.
Probably do better getting one of the Kawasaki flying boats that the Japanese still use.
