And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? I like this: Deer proof raised beds, chicken coop/garden shed, and light strings for evening atmosphere.
The deer I've seen could clear that fence without any problem. If you raise it a bit higher so they'd bang their heads on that roof beam it should do a better job of keeping them out.

The outriggers should help to keep the deer from going over the top.

There is no such thing as "deer proof." Just as there is no such thing as "all-season tires."
