    1. LL, that's not the worst of it, $28,455.00 per hour to operate according to GAO. FA-18F is about 1/3 that. I've been looking hard without success to discover the airframe lifespan after learning of the airframe time issue of the F-22 ($33,538.00/hour). not publicly available and I have chosen to not ask those who I know and would probably tell if I asked.
      As an aside, an A-10C is $5,944.00/hr wet and F-15C is $23,124.00/hr.
      you won't soon see some warbird fan cruising around in one soon.

  2. Doesn't matter. Hasn't even been cleared for combat.

    1. Ask the Israelis about that. Also I believe that the Marine and AF versions have been deployed if not used for combat. Both models have passed their operation readiness milestones.
