And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Man, that reminds me of my childhood so much. There was a small diner / beer joint named "Pops". A 10 stool counter very similar to the above, two calandars on opposite sides of wall with beer on tap and a refrigerator behind the bar. Served the best 35 cent hamburgers in the day, served beer at night.
Run by a pair of brothers who lived next door. Gruff and not very friendly, maybe WWI veterans (early 70's, they were in their 70's too).
Hash and eggs joint. Nothing I'd complain about.
