And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
You know what's really disheartening to a guy like me? I'm almost 74. Anyone of those Chevy's except for the Vette, could have been bought for less than $500 in 1963. I bought my first car in 1963. A '55 chevy 210, 2 door post without as much as a parking lot ding for $225. In 64, I bought a 57 convertible for $600. In '68, I bought a 65 Vette, with aluminum knockoff's extra hardtop, 300 hp 327 4 speed for $2500. Brings a tear to my eye.
I like the skinny french fries the best.

ReplyDeleteThe two closest to me just closed this year; one in Independence and the other in Lee's Summit, MO. Loved those french fries.
ReplyDeleteThey are gone from Wisconsin. I miss them, they had good food.
