And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Agree, nice bag. Make a helluva weekend bag where only essentials are included. Can be thrown in the trunk area with no problem, or carried. The 23" technically exceeds the airline carry on 22" dimension, but they would probably let it slide (just this once :^)
Well, it would be if they'd used actual leather instead of PVC plastic for the high-wear ends, and a by-God brass YKK zipper instead of what appears to be the nylon plastic trash.
At least, being Carhartt, they're on the right track. I haven't found many decent pieces like that in the last 30 years; they've all cheaped out.
A couple years ago, I bought bags for my employees from this place: https://www.lifesavingequipment.com/product/tuff-bags/Tuff-Bag.html
Rubberized bags, tough and water resistant, since they throw their stuff in the back of a pickup when traveling out of town. Made to get dirty and beat up. I have an extra large I bought for myself. I can put all my stuff in it and still put a cased AR-15 in the top so nobody sees what I'm carrying into the hotel.

The quality that Carhartt used to have is gone in my opinion. You cannot compare what they make now to what they made even 20years ago. It's too bad.
