Nothing stops a Jeep, especially if the snow isn't too wet.

  1. What I want to know is what kind of tires is he running?! Pretty fun.
Just want to say Thank You for your blog - I really enjoy it.

    1. Likely he has chains on those tires.

    2. When it gets really bad, or I have to plow a driveway or road on the side of a mountain (i.e. most of the time - whether Alaska or Montana), I throw chains on all four wheels on the old Dodge plow truck. It's pretty much unstoppable at that point in 4Low. I've had guys tell me not to chain both the front and rear, but I've been plowing that way with the same truck for 15 years...results matter.

  2. You can get the radiator and engine compartment so packed with snow that the engine seizes up while running. I've seen it happen. Not with a Jeep, but with an International Harvester pick up truck. If the snow is 'wet' enough, it can happen.

  3. Being stuck out there is a long, cold walk home...
