And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Man, this brings back good memories of similar times.
A buddy and I were pulled over just across the state line in NV, South Lake Tahoe back in the 90's with a similar arsenal rattling around in back of a beat up red Toyota pick up. The sheriff just asked what we were doing, shot the shit for a few minutes and sent us on our way.
Pretty sure we'd be on the 6 o'clock news if that happened today.
