And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? I was talking earlier about Celtic style engraving on a 1911 - this is a SIG-Sauer P226 X-Five Mastershop Prestige Tyr.
Book plug- for those who like fancy "Steel Canvas", R.L.Wilson. A compendium of finely engraved and inlaid arms from the 1600's to recent, emphasis on firearms, from 1750 on. A great coffee table book. Some really outstanding unusual examples, Celtic style , Art Deco, etc, along with a host of scrolls and oak leaves. Also, check out the Desbourgh Mirror from the British Museum, if you like the shield shown previously- it is a treat.
My gosh, isn't that pretty. The artisan who made that should be proud.
