And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I think it's one of the houses in Mass. that blew up from some sort of natural gas overpressure problem. Supply lines were reported to be 12 times normal!
2104 New Hampshire. A police officer was shot dead at that home earlier. The occupant died in the fire/explosion. I could not find any news stories to give more detail.
Gas explosion. Guy shot up house in process of killing cop who entered regarding father-son dispute, some of the stray shots he fired punctured gas lines, and son set multiple fires. Gas met fire, Boom! Game over.
"The house where a Brentwood, N.H., man killed a police officer last week exploded because some of the bullets the man fired pierced gas pipes in the basement, and the gas released later came in contact with multiple fires he had set, authorities said today."
There was a guy renting a home in San Diego a few years ago. He was a bomb maker. It was so littered with explosives the EOD guys just said screw it and burned/blew it up/down. They had to close part of I-15 or 163 IIRC. Sure felt bad for the owner.

Note in the gif, the garage blows loose several feet from the main house, then settles back.

ReplyDeleteBack in the mid-50s my mother always worried about that happening whenever I got my Gilbert Chemistry set out and set it up in the basement.
ReplyDeleteWith that particular set you could make some fine LSD....
DeleteMeth was my guess. Till I read comments above.
ReplyDeleteNot meth.
DeleteMethane.
;)
Could also be a reloader. I am not sure how big a bang an 8 pound jug of Titegroup would make but I wouldn't want to be around when it went off.
