And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That second photo reminded me of a Jewish deli near where I used to work back in the early '70s, that put a pile of pastrami on a $2.50 pastrami & rye that was like that in thickness. Yum!
Then I moved to Australia in 1971 & on arrival found a kiosk selling ham sandwiches for $0.23! The "sandwich" consisted of one slice of ham so microscopically thin you could see thru it, two pieces of white bread and a thin smear of butter. That was it, that's all you got! Thankfully, most eateries in Oz are far better than that!
Yes, indeed.
ReplyDeleteSandwiches & burgers that are too big to take a bite of are only good to look at.

I don't think I could get my mouth around that sandwich but I'd like to try.
