And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Maybe THAT should have been the tack taken to scrap the program. After all, the purpose of the armed forces is NOT to defend the United States, but to instantiate social justice (and combat global warming of course).
They spend more time in dry docks and being towed, than they do in service. Plus the crew was downsized, so it needs a forward repair port crew besides a blue crew/red crew manning.
The LCS looks space age - exceptionally cool. But it's sadly a waste of aluminum and a helpless target in the event of a kinetic exchange.
ReplyDeleteWhat isn’t?
DeleteSo you're saying the LCS NOT a "safe space"?

ReplyDeleteGad, that is ugly.
ReplyDeleteGive me BB-62 the USS New Jersey any day.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad my Navy Capt. Dad isn't here to see it. It would make him angry, and that wasn't a good thing!
ReplyDeleteI also pity the sailors on board that monstrosity. It'd be like sub duty but on a surface ship, you mostly don't get fresh air or sunlight.
a ship looking for a mission. by the way, what with the propulsion problems, the Navy is looking to getting masts and some sails for the class.
ReplyDeleteDon't tell me it's broken and sinking already!
