And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? Fired up the gas fireplace this a.m. for the first time this season. Making evening fires in the master bedroom;s wood stove the past two nights. Our first fire last year was on 10/25.
Just told Mrs. CW that I was going to set up a fire for tomorrow morning. Nothing better than to get up and fire up a nice wood fire along with the coffee.
yep, the heat this a.m. is for the Mrs.' morning tea. She likes to sit in the dark with the cat by the fireplace for the first hour after she awakens. I don't get it. -Goetz
Up here in the Eastern Wilds of South Dakota we have had to have the home fires burning for the better part of 3 weeks now, we even had an early dusting of snow here on the Plains... Nothing better then sipping coffee staring into a nice fire.
I saw those two - must have been the same ones - just the other day.
