Bird under a UV light

  2. A lot of things stand out when you get into UV and IR. We need to further expand our natural perceptions to appreciate what is in the sky and on the land around us.

  3. Birds and insects see somewhat into the ultraviolet. Many years ago, I knew a biologist at Union College that went around photographing plants and animals with a TV camera, because TV cameras also record into the ultraviolet. Things look a lot different when the UV band is added in.
