Great Horned Owl takes a cold swim in Lake Michigan

Apparently two peregrine falcons harassed this owl to the extent that it plunged into the water to get away.  This strategy worked, as the falcons left, leaving the owl the job of swimming to shore.

Steve Spitzer, who filmed the bird’s swim, told WGNtv that the owl strolled up on the beach once he was done and flew away without incident.
