California, a state with vast natural and human resources? Dead last at number 50.
Of course, it was those same "human resources" that voted in the Obamanation, and California's purely Democratic government, so I guess not everyone is a positive "resource." Just this morning I saw three cars with Obama bumper stickers on my way to work, and I couldn't help staring in to see what sort of political imbecile would put that on their vehicle. They all looked a little hairy, or hippie-ish.
In all these Republican states, the business climate has been significantly improved by using free market principles, and rejecting the ownership of the state government by labor unions. Here in California, the already broke state government is wasting literally billions on a bullet train that more and more looks like nothing but a pay off scheme for the big labor unions. One wonders just how bad it has to get before a majority of folks wise up and throw out these scam artists, for that is just what the Democratic political party is here in the Golden State.
For me, I only can strap in and hold on for the ride, cause my work is here and I cannot easily leave. It's going to be a very bad ride.
A good one.
ReplyDeleteWell at least we will have front row seats when it all comes crashing down right:-)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I just hope I get to watch, and not be crushed by all that falling stuff.
DeleteI remember decades ago, when I was young and dumb, I moved to California, thinking it was the place to be. I remember the first job I was offered, said I had to join the union or I could not work for them. Even as dumb as I was back then, I knew there was no way in hell I would work for a union to extort money out of me every month. I turned it down and went to work for a non union parts manufaturer. Stayed about a year and wised up and moved to Arizona. Best thing I ever did.
ReplyDeleteArizona rocks. Always has.
