Over at the Nuggetshooters forum, a guy down in Arizona came up with this nice piece of rusty quartz with a beautiful vein of gold.  After thinking about it a while, he decided to crush it and pan it out, and that process gave the gold below.

I'd have kept it as a specimen.  More interesting, and probably worth more as well.
