Ok, this pisses me off this morning.

Apparently, President "I hate my own country" is currently negotiating a new trade treaty that by it's terms would ban a policy of buying American. 

The day has finally arrived when our own government agrees to make it illegal to represent the interests of their own people.

However, it really isn't surprising given that Obama and the Democrats actually don't believe in the idea of an "America" as a seperate nation or culture, and certainly not one that is exceptional or better in any way.  Instead, they think the world should eliminate all institutions of nationalism, and promote a universal, world wide structure where everyone would be a citizen of the world, rather than a nation state.   Kind of like that old John Lennon song, "Imagine."

If you look at their actions on many subjects with this goal in mind, everything they do makes a lot more sense.

So buy American?   Sacrilege!!  We are all members of a world wide family, so there is no difference in buying something here or from there (whereever "there" might be). 

This attitude also explains the now ubiquitous "multi culturalism" which seeks to equalize all cultures, no matter how illogical. 

Bah, what insanity.
