  4. Ever notice the truly great movies Hollywood produced never needed a sequel to remind us how great the original was? Rio Bravo is 65 years old and still better than the last 30 movies combined to come out of Hollyweird.

  5. I love Rio Bravo...but it did have 2 sort of sequels - El Dorado (almost a remake with Robert Mitchum taking the Dino drunk role) and Rio Lobo. Both great Howard Hawks movies also.

    1. Heh, it's been said Hawks made the same movie three times with that trilogy! He just moved the characters around..
