  2. The year of the gunsight hood ornament & L&R option for raising the hood. In many ways, '49 was an evolutionary year for GM & Ford. Not so much Chrysler. Product line makes for an almost impossible wish-list but dearly love a '49 Cadillac with "sombrero" hubcaps.

What Anon at 4:40 is undoubtedly referring to is two instances; one in 2009 another in 2011 in which the US Fish and Wildlife Services raided Gibson's guitar factories and accused Gibson of using/trafficking in Madagascar ebony and Indian rosewood which were illegal for importation and use at least at that time.

    1. If I remember correctly, said raid happened while Gibson was in or had just won a lawsuit against Fender.
      Quite the coincidence at the timing.
