And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Size looks typical. Out here in the pacific they are about 8’-ish wingtip to wingtip. Some larger some smaller. In Kona they have night snorkeling tours where they place bright UV lights on rafts which attract the zooplankton which attract the Mantas. They swim around scooping up plankton inches from you occasionally bumping you as they glide about. Very cool.
Probably closer to the camera than the person.
