  1. This is a sperm whale skull found intact on a beach.

    While frequently joked about online as a "giant mosquito skull," it is actually the skeleton of a large marine mammal.

    These finds should be reported to wildlife agencies, such as NOAA in the US, as they are protected under the Endangered Species Act.

    You know why the "murder hornets" never made it in Florida? The mosquitoes raped and murdered them.

  6. in the lower illinois river bottoms at dusk you can hear the "hum" start. it is time to leave or get the bug spray on. i've always suspected that the skeeters were easily this big or bigger. a couple of times i swear one that bit me was this large.

    1. OK - In Minnesota the evening sky turns jet black ... but not from the lack of sunshine but because the tens of millions of mosquitos come out to feast.
