And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I should preface my comments by noting that I enjoy watching curling on TV....maybe because I am a curler. And it's a Canadian thing....at least it was. But I just can't wrap my head around soccer. Canada vs. South Africa....nothing happens for 90 minutes, just a bunch of guys running around a field and then one guy gets lucky and kicks the ball into the opponent's net. Now I know it's not quite that simple but it sure looks that way. I have tried to watch it but I kept thinking about some paint I had to watch dry. And as one wag here in Ottawa noted: "Why should I watch our Africans playing someone else's Africans?" Steve_in_Ottawa
My dad, a staunch West Tennesse Redneck, used to just laugh hysterically at curling when it was on TV during The Olympics. BUTTTTTT...he would smack anyone down what disrepected folk what participated in the sport. He was fascinated with the precision needed to perform the moves. Just found the "haste" to be hysterical.
Epic time waster.
ReplyDeleteActually, it's not even close to a "time waster" since I shared it with about 50 US Marine Vietnam veterans and to a man, they thought it was GREAT!!!
ReplyDeleteAs they have said, "If you want to hate America, listen to the news. If you want to love America, travel around the nation."
You really are retarded as that vid aren't you?
