And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

My sister sent me this picture of her latest quilt.
Very talented. Crank up your Dodge and come to Sisters Oregon on Saturday the 11th. Largest outdoor quilt show. Been going for years and the best of the best to the novice quilter show their work.

ReplyDeleteI does amuse me that a use every useful scrap of cloth tradition became a cut up perfect cloth and resew it into patterns :-)
My Grandmother made diapers using quilting techniques with scraps of cloth salvaged from worn-out clothing back in Weimar Germany.
