And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Had a job with a utility construction company when I was young in the late 60's. Second crew I worked with was stripping the copper wire for salvage. The line mans job was very dangerous, as when the short wires that held the Wire to the insulators were all cut the old poles would fall because they were hollowed out by insects and woodpeckers. The cross arms after being unbolted were heaved back over the line mans head breaking a lot of the Insulators. I kept a few, but no one thought about them being collectable! Bubbarust
On the one hand, easy access to work on the wires. On the other, cold so all the work takes longer while you try to keep your fingers warm enough to work.
High plains snow drifting?
ReplyDeleteHe’s about to FAFO.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of glass insulators there. I hope the lines are dead, or he's about to be.
ReplyDeleteThose are phone lines, not an electrocution hazard.
