And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Classic Disaster. I like the poor guy running along trying to figure a way to stop it.
it looks like a VW camper van, no big lost really, EX wife wanted one and I hated the damn thing. only good thing was the engine "sucked a valve" and I got to replace it with a engine from a 914 and then I got out of it onw way !
Probably the #3 cylinder exhaust valve, which always runs hotter because cooling air is slightly reduced by the oil cooler. You want to run a larger valve clearance on that one.
I worked with a wonderful old gentleman when I was kid who owned a VW pickup and a VW bus. We worked at a Chevron station and every thousand miles the VWs were up on the rack for an oil change, a screen cleaning and a valve adjustment. He never had a problem with either rig and they both always purred like kittens.
With eight kids and a wife that stayed at home watching them, Paul took care of what he owned. He had to in order to feed all those mouths on his gas station salary. He was quite a guy .
What's with the paint job on the Honda sitting in the driveway?
