And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
It would be easier to keep running than any modern Jeep (or any other brand) with all the electronics and everything jammed together under the hood. When you have to drain the radiator to replace a bad alternator, or remove the entire front moulding to replace a headlight bulb you appreciate the KISS principle. Al_in_Ottawa
Any tight turn into a parking space was accompanied by the sounds of *clunk*clunk*clunk* from the rear differential. They had their issues. Rose colored glasses, and all that.
I had an uncle that had one. He traded it for a 72 Suburban. He wanted AC and a V8 to pull his camper better. He had no problems driving off road in the Jeep. Not so much with the Suburban as it did not have locker axles.
