They're cute, yes, but they'll eat everything

  1. I saw triplets in the woods once, back in the '80s. It was on the Bowman Lake Road between Nevada City and Truckee, California. It was the first and only time I've ever seen triplets.

That was back before the feel-good (female) voters of California voted to outlaw the trophy hunting of mountain lions, of course. And mountain lions began eating all the adorable little Bambis. Imagine that.

  3. I had two large ones outside the bathroom window last night. Never a cougar or coyote when you need one.

    They also bring Lyme disease.

    1. Lyme disease travels on the deer tick. Not the deer.

  4. I feed 8 - 12 deer corn and stock feed out on my driveway every night all winter. They stand out there waiting for me. In the spring they feed out in the hay fields and woods but in the late fall they come back when the snow gets deep.---ken

  5. Not much meat on them, about 20lbs at best, tenderloin medallions size of a half dollar, it's super tender, tastes far better than the finest veal imaginable.
