And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Agreed, I try to never buy any electronics with built in batteries. Not fond of the proprietary type of batteries either. Just bought a new home wireless phone system, all the AAA rechargeable batteries crapped out in three months (made in China) if they were built in I'd have to toss the whole system.
These lanterns have built-in rechargeable batteries. When the batteries die the lamp is useless.
ReplyDeleteLanterns spend most of their life not being used and when they are on a charger all the time the batteries achieve a memory that depletes over time.
My preference is lanterns that have changeable batteries, so that I can control the use and change the batteries as needed.
When I need a lantern (power outage) I need it NOW.
These are the ones we have used for the past few years and there have been no problems.

The only issue I have is they take "D" cells, which pretty much nothing else does these days. I have tons of AA and AAAs and a few C cells.
