And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
When my father was stationed at Hancock Field just outside of Syracuse, NY, we lived in Brewerton... about 30 minutes north of the city. Interstate 81 was a few hundred yards from out front porch. The I-81 bridge that went over a section of the Erie Canal was also nearby. In the summer (not the winter), the neighborhood kids would walk onto the bridge and jump off into the canal water. I did it a few time, but it really scared me.
Nope. I have indoor plumbing and a shower makes much more sense
ReplyDeletewould he do it if nobody was watching?
