  3. I think this might be photoshopped. Those are African Banded Penguins. There's no cougars in Africa?

    1. Web search has them as Magellanic Penguins and Puma. Both are found in Patagonia (Argentina, Chile).

  4. My first thought was those two birds will make a noisy, but tasty, dinner for that cat.

  5. Did you know polar bears never eat penguins no matter how hungry they get? Polar bears are only in the northern arctic while penguins are only in the southern hemisphere except for the smallish Galapagos penguins. Definitely AI/photoshopped or a zoo breakout.

    1. Trailcam, part of a study in Patagonia. The cats were eliminated to stop livestock predation and the penguins started roosting on the mainland in two big colonies. Cats were reintroduced a few years ago and when they discovered an easy protein source, they started tolerating being much closer. Scientists are excited to see the unexpected change in the cats behavior; the penguins, not so much.

  6. I really wouldn't expect to see an alliance between cradle-robbers and nuns, but we do live in the Crazy Years, so who knows?

  7. These are "activist" penguins who wanted to prove to the world the cougars are peaceful and wouldn't harm a feather on their head.
