    1. Not a perfect match because must allow for the saw kerf. We don't know the kerf width, if multiple passes were made, or if sanding was done to remove saw marks.

    2. Also, as agate does not have clevage, the flat mating surfaces can result only from saw cutting, sanding, and polishing.

  2. If that arc shown in the far top left and bottom right is a saw mark, it suggests an 8" dia. saw blade. That size blade is favored by rock hounds.

  3. Lapidary saw blades can be as thin as .014 inches. The pieces in the pic are wet to show what they will look like when polished.
