And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

DeleteAlso, as agate does not have clevage, the flat mating surfaces can result only from saw cutting, sanding, and polishing.
DeleteIf that arc shown in the far top left and bottom right is a saw mark, it suggests an 8" dia. saw blade. That size blade is favored by rock hounds.
ReplyDeleteLapidary saw blades can be as thin as .014 inches. The pieces in the pic are wet to show what they will look like when polished.

Looks similar to Montana agate, extra large size, very nice piece whatever it is.
