  2. Some impressive piers and piling holding up those buildings. Wonder how long they are good for. Probably have to move the building back onto the front road in order to drive in replacements.

  3. The photo is from Bakklandet, a neighbourhood in the city of Trondheim, Norway. The row of buildings are old (restored) trading houses, pack houses along the river "Nidelva". Those to the right, that is, the buildings to the left in the photo, a bit away from the river, are modern constructions.

    Trondheim was once the capital of the first Christian Norwegian kings (post Viking era), the city was then known by the medieval name Nidaros. The name Nidaros refers to the estuary / mouth of the river Nidar (today Nidelva).

  4. Spent the better part of a day there late last winter. If I was young again and looking for a wife I'd figure out a way to go live there until I found one. Tons of beautiful blonde, athletic lovelies running all over the place. The ones not running were pushing babies in strollers.

  5. mostly cold there - seen 75 year old piling pretty healthy up on the Ore Docks in Superior WI
