  1. A bit more spendy, but these work very well.

We have used these for a couple of seasons now, lowest temp was about 15 degrees F. Pipes were fine. No need to cover faucets. Yes, you get a chunk of ice on the ground where they drip.

  2. Does anyone make something like that for bathroom exhaust vents? I'm losing a lot of heat in the winter from mine. Cheaper to repair mold in the stall than pay for the NG.

    1. Don't most exhaust fans have a flap that flips down to prevent heat loss?

    2. It's very light and mounted on the north east side of the house every time the wind blows there's a draft.
With the door closed there is a 6 or 7 degree difference in temperature.
