The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
We have used these for a couple of seasons now, lowest temp was about 15 degrees F. Pipes were fine. No need to cover faucets. Yes, you get a chunk of ice on the ground where they drip.
Does anyone make something like that for bathroom exhaust vents? I'm losing a lot of heat in the winter from mine. Cheaper to repair mold in the stall than pay for the NG.
It's very light and mounted on the north east side of the house every time the wind blows there's a draft. With the door closed there is a 6 or 7 degree difference in temperature.
A bit more spendy, but these work very well.
