I've done that before, but without the cell phone, and with an open water meter. I took a corner too wide on my mad dash home at dusk. I didn't make it. After I picked myself up, I had to push my bike two blocks home. Of course, I'm also the kid that ran into the back of a parked car, a red car no less, because I didn't see it. That one hurt, too.
Well, I guess it's up to me to state the obvious. Don't text and ride!
